Below is a link to a video clip from the children's television show "Pioneers of Tomorrow" (a Hamas production in Gaza). The host of the show throws cats, swings cats by their tails, etc, as children laugh hysterically. Next the clip cuts to a sceene at the zoo where the host throws rocks at the lions in the cage and then spectators start throwing rocks and water on the lions. Somebody'll probably flame me for this, but - bizarre as the whole video looked - it didn't seem to me like the domestic cats were having any problem with him. I base that on our own cat's reaction when we step over the line. In the video, I'd have expected to have seen hissing, clawing, and extremely rapid movement on the part of the cats if what he was doing bothered them. They were not afraid at first, but by the end of the video they were all running away from him pretty frightened. What upsets me is the example he's setting for the children. Even though he did not kick them 'hard' he was still kicking them and throwing them around. I could see the kids who viewed this video going out and playing "kick the cat" or "swing the cat by it's tail" after the show.
