Hi All,
We recently lost our last of 3 cats - Lucy, 17, tumor.
In a few months we want to get 1 or 2 cat(s), a 1 1/2 year old or younger,
female(s). We have had 4 cats in our marriage. Seems like when Marcie (our
2nd to last cat) died, Lucy liked being queen of the house although they had
always been close. She didn't act as though she missed Marcie at all.
We travel a lot, but have a great cat sitter. Question: Should we adopt a
couple of sisters that have always been together or a single cat?
Hate being without the purrs. Thanks for your input.

I would say that if you are going to get more then one to check
shelters for a couple that came in together and, if possible, get them
both. That way it will lessen the truama (SP) on them of being
seperated after loosng their first home and also might make it easier
for them to adjust to another strange place if they are with a
familiar friend.
Just my opinion.

Hi G&G
Sounds like my situation, we had 3 cats at the beginning of the year and now
we are down to one. Our 5 year old one just died unexpectedly last week and
we now just have his brother (same age).
We love cats too and are looking to get another 1 or 2 sometime soon.
I feel that if I have 2 I will get two that are together because you could
never split them up and in your case they are company for one another
(especially when you go away).
Hope this helps?
