Hello!!!

I have a cat whose name is Tom. He has been recently diagnosed with
diabetes. It is really sad news for me and my family, cause we treat
him like a family member and love him so much.

I researched many websites so far to look for cure and etc, but so far
liked only one website, which is www.catdiabetes.net. Just wanted to
share it with everyone whose cats are sick with diabetes as well.
As well as just want to ask if anyone can advice anything else about
this horrible sickness that making my cat to suffer.:((

Thank you so much.

My cat Spooky was diagnosed 1 1/2 years ago with it. Its been quite an
adventure. 2 shots a day, and special food cover the basics. But there are
some serious $$ to consider. the cost per month to "keep her up" is $160.

that's 30 to 40 for needles, 60 for the insulin (9 units twice a day.) 60
to 80 for DM cat food. and then there is also the cost of doctor visits to
keep her blood numbers ok that is every 3 to 6 months and costs between $170
to $500 depending on how many blood curves it takes to find the sweet spot.

Is it worth it? You bet!

She's 11 years old this year, and still acts A-OK doesn't play much, but is
a total FOOD WHORE! she can hear you take a bite of something from a dead
sleep on the other end of the house with the TV on. She is relentless. I
don't feed her scraps or regular food, but that never stops her from trying
to steal it right off my plate when I turn my head..
People see her do it and swear she had turned into a dog.

Good luck with your baby, treat her well, and feed her right and she will
be with you for a long time to come.
