Howdy, wife brought home a ~8 week old male kitten. We have 2 adult female
cats and are a bit worried about spraying. We were told that if he was
neutered very young, spraying would not be an issue. All cats are kept
indoors. When to neuter?
Feedback appreciated.

Seriously, take to the vet and have them evaluate but the sooner the better.
Been there...done that....to late....

My vet prefers waiting until they are six months old - if yours gives
you that line, get a different vet : six months can be too late.
Other vets use a weight guideline, often four pounds. Since cats
mature differently, I think a size guide makes more sense than age.
