HELP!  Cat Licks My Forehead, Scalp & Hair!  WHY?

Yesterday when I was petting my black and white fixed boy cat Whiskers, he
got to licking my scalp's hair line.  His tongue kinda hurt.  When Ipulled
my head away, he stuck one claw in and pulled my head back.  Whiskers then
proceeded to lick my entire hairline on my forehead, then he went for the
top of my scalp and even licked my hair.  He purred as he did this and when
I tried to pull my head away he inserted claws into key, pain-inciting
positions of my scalp.  His tongue hurt, but because he was purring so
loudly obviously enjoying himself, and exfoliating my scalp so efficiently
with his coarse tongue, I let him do as he wished until he tired.  Then
today when I laid down from the back pain, Whiskers again came to my pillow,
laid down on his side and proceeded to lick my forehead hairline, top scalp
and hair again.

What is it with this cat and why is he doing this weird thing to me???
Please write and tell me what this is all about at your earliest
convenience.

He found a taste he licked  which can be a bad thing if it is a chemical
such as hair spray
A simple very loud no  pick up the cat and place on floor  would have
stopped the problem but you allowed it to go on now be ready for the after
effects

Why does it have to be bad for it??

Mine lick my face and head (Bald) all the time and I use nothing on
it.  I look at it as them showing their affection for me or whoever
they are doing it to.  I have even taught the one to give me kisses
(Licks my mouth area) when I smack my lips.

If it does not bother you to have him "Groom" you by licking let him
do it.  They does not have to be a reason they do everything except
they like doing it.

I wouldn't want my cat ingesting a lot of hair spray or other chemical like
that.

By any chance that you were sweating before the cat started licking you.  If
so, he was licking off the salt that was left on you when the sweat
evaporated.

Animals like salt.

When mine does this it's when we've been cuddeling and I take it she's
grooming me like she does her self.  yes, her little tongue is a bit rough
but I let her do it anyways.

My mom's cat sometimes uses my arm as a scratching post, it's extremely
painful and usually results in bloody scratches. He does it without warning,
but stops once you begin screaming in pain. I don't know what he's trying to
prove.
