Can anyone recommend a dry cat food without dye in it? My cat throws up
sometimes and it stains the carpet. I asked at PetCo, and they said they
didn't know. Real helpful, huh?

PetCo has an attitude problem. I asked their corporate customer
relations why their prices are always higher than Petsmart and
would they match Petsmart prices on certain items. PetCo's
reply was to blow me off, saying PetCo is not a *discount*
store, whatever that answer means?

Back to your question. Alternately, once your kitty has
already stained the carpet, I have found over the years the
single most effective stain removal product is Spot Shot,
made by the WD-40 company. It comes in an orange and
blue spray can. Walmart has the best price, and don't buy the
Walmart brand (Great Value/Equate) substitute. It is not as
effective as the brand name Spot Shot.

I'll have to switch to Petsmart if they have lower prices. And thanks for
the recommendation for Spot Shot. I'll get some.

Petsmart prices are not the greatest either, but they beat
Petco on Royal Canin & Blue Buffalo Spa Select cat foods.

For liter, toys, hairball remedy, Walmart beats them all on
prices.

We bought one of those large multi-story cat trees at
Walmart and saved $42 at Walmart over the Petsmart price
for the exact same tree.

I don't mind shopping for the best price, but I realize some
people could care less and spend their money at the first place
that has what they want.

Now if I could only teach my kid to be thrifty.

PetSmart isn't a "discount store" either, but at least they are not a
"charge you way too much because you are too lazy to shop around store".

There is NO reason why anyone should shop at PetCo, but as long as
people continue to do so, they will continue to rip them off.

I agree-Petco has an attitude. I had the same problem. I found this new food
called GOOD LIFE doesn't seem to stain the carpet. when i use a paper towels
and oick it up, i then just use a damp sponge and get the rest. It was
reccommended to me to get a FELIWAY DIFFUSER for other problems with my kitty-
his spraying-. not only has he stopped spraying, but he is a whole lot calmer,
and the hair ball throw up aren't nearly as many or often and his tummy is
accepting this food better so now, not even throw up anymore as before
FELIWAY DIFFUSER. give it a try. it is $2.00 cheaper at Pet Smart than PetCo.

I look at the picture on the front of the bag and if it does not have
orangy-red colored pieces, my carpet doesn't stain when the throw up. Of
course, now I have to feed all mine Hill's W/D prescription diet for the one
that is prone to kidney crystals and it is all light brown food. I have
found that Resolve cleans up all my stains (available at all grocery
stores).

Btw, I tried that diffuser but it didn't work with my spraying cat, but it
ended up she has a chronic irritated bladder and needs medicine.

I've tried the Resolve, but it doesn't work on this. Maybe it's the dye in
the food she's eating. I also bought some carpet cleaner that Stanley
Steemer uses, and it doesn't work either.

What is the Feliway Diffuser? I haven't heard of it.
