Is there any consensus as to what product removes urine from carpet or
eliminates order sucessfully? I've found lots of different products but am
not sure what to get. I have tried nature's miracle and have a very negative
opinion of it.

Here's the situation. My cat had an inflamed urinary tract and had been
peeing in the basement family room room near where I like to work. She also
peed behind the couch across a whole wall and in most corners of the room.
The good news is after about the good part of a thousand dollars she's all
better and feels better than ever.

The stains are about 6 months old and the smell is awful. We had a carpet
cleaning company (http://www.lncarpetcleaning.com/) come in and steam clean
the carpets which I now think was a mistake. The smell is still there. We
paid them an extra $150.00 to spray their special enzyme across the whole
room and it didn't help at all.  Now I'm looking for something I can do
myself. Replacing the carpet isn't an option but if that is the only way to
get rid of the smell I'll just have to live with it.

I've found other products that come with a syringe that you inject the
product down into the padding under the carpet (which seems to make sense).
The web site for Zero Odor impressed me as they show a test with a dirty
litter box and a device that measures the ppm of gases in air before and
after treating with their product. I will also need to spray whatever product
I find on the wall where my cat sprayed. Thanks for any help!
