I have seen many posts here on how your kitty will wake
you up at around the same time every morning, but here is
an opposite question. Is anybody affected by cats like I am,
meaning two of my cats are sleep inducing machines. If I
lay back in the recliner, two of my cats will lay down on my
stomach or between my legs, and this will almost cause
instance sleep with me, especially if I begin petting them.
My wife is not affected in this way.

Same here. When Five climbs up on my lap or chest and I'm in my reclining
chair, it's usually "lights-out" in about a half hour regardless of how loud
the TV is. Especially when she's got her purr motor running. Who needs
Nytol or Sominex when you've got a furry tabby sleeping pill ;)
