Gluten is just a term for grain protien. All by itself it's a good way for
non-carnivores to get essential nutrients.
The issue with the gluten was a PLASTIC CHEMICAL BYPRODUCT produced by some
pesticides and other manufacturing processes. (Something like 6% of the
volume)
Aside from the dubious ability for cats to digest the stuff in the first
place, it wasn't the problem. The pesticide was.
That's what you get when you purchase from a third-world shithole with
little or no oversight and rampant corruption.
In any case, gluten itself was not the problem. Please do some reading
about basic science before you spout uneducated bullshit eh?

I said it was contaminated you Idiot Freak Of Nature, What kind of
spouting uneducated bullshit is that?
If it's bad for cats it might hurt humans. Chinese food is probably
full of wheat gluten. The picture on the link I provided looks
good enough I might buy some someday after all this contamination
is over with. The Chinese probably knew it was bad and dumped it
on US and other countries to get rid of it.
Almost everything I've bought in the last few years is made in China.

Wheat gluten is what makes wheat bread light and airy - without it,
you get something like tortillas.
