Mr. PETA pusher fails at the english.
That is an entirely different recall for an entirely different reason.
Chromium Tripicolinate... and it's used for swine all the time so this is a
"that stuff is not approved" problem not a "it's gonna kill fluffy" problem.
But then, PETA and their followers are a bunch of droolers anyway so one
cannot expect them to know the difference if there is any actual facts
involved.

PETA is a left wing wacko group of nut cases and a

Marketwatch finally discovered they've been had with this one and the
page has been removed. PETA are those wackos who are against the seal
hunt in Canada. One wonders if they're not serving some financial
interests.

Thanks for the info. Heard this from other sources today, and I'm
wondering if the MF debacle isn't forcing other pet manufacturers to
start examining their own sources and supplies more closely.
All in all, that's a good thing. I have a dislike of government
regulation, generally, but some good things may come of this. One can hope.
Shame that PETA is so shrill about it - I agree with much of what they
say, but they tend to do more damage to the cause than good with their
fanatical rhetoric. Sigh. Nothing new there ;(
My girlfriend was told by a rep at Iams today that they will be
covering her vet costs, and there will be a check in the mail in a few
weeks (which is good, nearly a thousand dollars right now). They were
*extremely* polite to her on the phone, took her vet's number and the
relevant info and promised they'd be in touch with her on Monday
regarding any further details they may need. A huge contrast to MF,
who's reps rudeness and dismissal of the problem on the phone reduced
her to tears more than once this week.
Good to see them (Iams) taking responsibility voluntarily. Obviously
they care much more about furry kids than does the Menu Food Fund. I
haven't confirmed it yet, but the rep she spoke with told her that Iams
is also entering into a lawsuit against MF.
Kudos to Iams.
Anyone have any experiences to add to that?
Back to our regularly scheduled insanity... sorry I don't post more,
but there's so much going on right now, I can't keep up... our local vet
also has Kirby on an antibiotic course to fight any incidental
infections that might arise; and he's improving, a bit.
Hopes are high here. Meanwhile I've spoken with four other local
people who have pets experiencing similar problems which are likely
related to the recall.
Damn, this is expanding fast.
Still no UA from the vet, unfortunately, he says the lab is swamped.
Bog, what a mess ;\
