I have a kitty who is about 5 years old, neutered, and can't hear. At
night she yowls so loud she keeps everyone up, including neighbors.
I have tried many things, but the landlord says she has to go, or I
do. I'm at the end of my rope, so please respond quickly!! Thanks so
much.

Where does she sleep -- is she isolated?  If so, take her in with you as she is probably lonesome.  MLB

My friends small dog did this too.  They brought in a pet psychologist
(no kidding) and she determined that the dog felt isolated and
alone at night.  It gets dark, the dog can't hear and feels cut off.
They got him a friend to hang out with and that did the trick.  Maybe
your cat just feels alone at night.  If you can't let her sleep with you
on the bed, or if that isn't helping, try getting her a friend.  If that
isn't
possible maybe you could rig up something to make her feel less
isolated.  A toy that vibrates or one of those glow dolls they have
for babies.

As others have said he is probably lonely, gets disoriented, and thinks
she is alone. Getting a companion cat will probably help. Also try and
keep her in the room with you. She has been spayed correct? Perhaps an
ear exam might help if one hasn't been done already. If she has a
blockage due to wax perhaps part of her hearing could be restored. Good
Luck.

I wish that you would of left an address to personally reply to.  I am a
member of the yahoo Deaf Cats Chat Club. We can help you with this VERY
common problem with deaf cats.  Hurry.....come on over and post this
question to our members.  I have 2 deaf cats and they keep one another
company, so they don't make the loud noise.  Remember, deaf cats can NOT
hear themselves meow.....they rely on vibration.  So the louder noise they
make, the more apt they are to feel the vibration, and know that they are
meowing.  Hope that makes sense.  Here is a link;
