Is it true that all kittens are born with blue eyes?  Or that light
from a television set will make a cat shed its fur?

   * All kittens are born with blue eyes.  Within weeks, the color
may change.
   * Light from a television set will make a cat shed its fur.
   * A cat uses its whiskers to determine if a space is too small to
squeeze through.
   * Stating at a cat provokes them and is an act of aggression.  A
cat can stare at another cat for extended periods of time, not
necessarily resulting in a fight, but a draw.
   * A cat's jaw cannot move sideways.
   * Cats seldom "meow" to other cats.  It is a vocalization usually
reserved for communications with people.  Hisses, purrs and spits,
along with scent and body language help cats communicate with each
other.
   * Cats have no collar bones and are therefore extremely flexible.
   * Some white cats with blue eyes are deaf.  If a white cat has
only one blue eye, it will be deaf only in the ear closest to the blue
eye.
   * Cats can make over 100 different vocalizations.
   * Ailourophile is a modern term for cat lover.
