I sleep with my Siamese almost every night and I just got a cold.
Should I not sleep with him until I'm over it???

I've had cats for 40 years and never has one caught a cold or flu from me.
And I've always had a cat sleeping near my pillow.

Thanks for answering;  I had a feeling that was the case, but wanted
someone elses input...

It's very rare for human beings to acquire/pass on diseases to
animals....When it does happen, it usually makes the headlines, and the
disease, (whatever it is) gets named after the animal. "Bird flu" is an
example.........

Here is a link to diseases that can be interchanged between you and your
pets.....Many of them are parasitic diseases, but there are a few other
types.......

You can't caatch a cold from your cat and your cat can't catch a cold
from you.   On the other hand it's OK for them sneeze but they'll look
at you strange if you have the nerve to sneeze.

I've heard before that human colds could be transferred to cats, but suspect
that's an "old cats' tail."

Seriously, few (if any) viruses are infectious to multiple species. I'd
guess you have nothing to worry about.

OTOH, I could be flat out wrong.

Vet opinions, please?
