One of my cats was in a fight and got some real bad bites that abcessed
then they festered and drained---but the cat keeps pulling out the fur
around the sores and picks off the scabs---it has been several months now
but there are still scabs that he picks off and makes the wounds bleed is
there anything i can do to make him stop

get him an Elizabethan collar - they make soft sided ones that are easier on
cats - to keep him away from it.

Also a good idea to have a vet take another look at it to make sure there
isn't any further infection.
