What country doesn't accept cats?

It's not that the country won't accept them, Japans rules are very strict
and the process is lengthy and costs about 600 bucks per cat. You have to
have a microchip installed and send blood samples then many months later if
accepted they can go.
To try and take them at once would mean quarantining them for 180 days
(unthinkable).

In the late 1960s my wife and I moved from California to England and took
three dogs and two cats who had to be quarantined for six months. We did have
visitation privileges and for that six month period visited our pets once a
week. When their time was up and they at last came home it was almost as if
they never spent any time in quarantine.

Yes, really! Within just a couple of days both the dogs and the cats quickly
seemed to realize that they were home and acted just like they had before the
quarantine.

The quarantine kennel itself was set up so that each day each of the animals
got personal attention and a play period, the dogs were taken to a play area
and exercised with ball catching and such and the cats to an area where they
got to chase feathers on a string and such. The only downside was that it was
about 40 miles from where we were living and it was not possible to visit
except on Saturdays.

Just like a state prison.......Except, when the prisoners asked each other,
"What are you in for?" The answer was always the same...."I don't
know."...:^)
