I started my outdoor clump from cutting found fresh at a farmer's market.
Kittie is now a junkie.

... And the authorities know there's a dealer in the neighborhood.
I failed miserably with seeds (nothing happened). I bought a potted
catnip plant, carefully transferred it to the garden ... where it died.
Somebody gave me another plant which somehow survived my care. That was
several years ago. Now I have a thirty foot long catnip patch that grows
nearly six feet tall! Good stuff too. At least my furkids and visitors
from around the neighborhood say so. I don't use it myself: clouds the
brain. As soon as I get the yield up a bit, I'm gonna start wrapping
bales in black plastic and go commercial: smuggle it into Columbia
for starters.
