I have a 2 year old domestic short hair cat. Lately he has had trouble
with his back legs when jumping up on a chair. He doesn't seem to have the
strength to do it, so if he can, he kinda crawls if he can get his hind
claws hooked on something. This appears to be getting worse so now we lift
him to his favorite napping place. He still runs and plays with my other
cat, doesn't appear to have any pain although it's hard to tell with a cat.
He is so young to be having problems and I've never heard of hip problems in
a cat. I got the cat from the Humane Society so I have no idea of his
history. I'm taking him to the vet Tuesday. Has anyone had these problems.
Thank You

I just adopted a cat with a bad back leg that kind of gives out on him
and spreads out at an odd angle when he crouches to eat. Please post
the results of your vet visit. Thanks.
