Hello everyone.  I have to try and get my cat to urinate into Nosorb tomorrow
morning so that they can send it in for a urinalysis.  My question is, will
he really use it?  I mean, I typically pour about 14lbs of litter into the
pan for them and the vet gave me about a cup of Nosorb.  I told them that I
doubt he will use it being that it is such a small amount, but they told me
not to worry, they use it.  Is this true?  Any advice in getting him to use
it if he shrugs it off tomorrow?  Thanks guys and I look forward to hearing
your advice.

Hi there,

I've never heard of "nosorb," but I'm assuming it's a plastic litter?
Our vet gave us a tiny bit of plastic crystals that didn't begin to
cover the bottom of the box.

What I did was feed Abernathy wet catfood with LOTS of water mixed into
it early in the morning. I then parked myself, with a syringe ready, in
the room where he was secluded.

Within an hour he was in and out of the litter box without going, a
little weirded out by the litter. I decided to add a cup of his regular
litter into the middle of the box, trying to keep the corners free of it.

That did the trick, he smelled his own litter and went, and I rushed
over with the syringe before it soaked up into the real litter.

Good luck tomorrow!

Rhonda, thank you so much!  He looked at me like I had ten heads when I first
put the Nosorb in.  I then checked the website and saw your reply and within
seconds of me putting a small amount of his regular litter in the middle of
the litter box, he immediately went in and urinated in the Nosorb.  Again,
thank you so much!

Glad that worked! Cats seem to always keep us on our toes.
