I took my feline companion of 15 years to the vet yestersay morning to
be sent on her never-ending journey. She had fought a strong battle
against kidney disease for 3 years.
I do know that I want to get another cat.....when I feel the time is
right. My question is this....all sentimental reasons aside....should
I get a new littler box, and food and water bowls ? Or should they be
ok as long as they are throughly cleaned ?
Thanks

So sorry to hear of your loss :(
I would get a new litter box, but keeping your food and water bowls should be
just fine.

Am so sorry for your loss and send prayers and purrs on the way for
you and your freind.
I agree. I would get a new litter box because of the smell but your
food and qater things should be fine. I would give them a good
washing through.

I'm so sorry for your loss...it's nevefr easy. Prayers and purrs for both
your baby and you.
I would definitely replace the litterbox, but would keep the bowls. I have a
bowl personalized for each of my kitties. I have kept and use the bowls of
those babies I have lost. It's a nice memory.

I've had no problems whatsoever in bringing a new cat into the home after a
much loved cat has died and keeping the same litter box.
