BlankHello Everyone,
I don't have any problems with my cat right now. There was something funny
and strange that happened yesterday that I thought that I might share with
all of you.
My cat is now 6 months old, he loves to look at the water pouring out of the
sink or bathtub and drinks it. He doesn't like to be in the water. But there
were a few times that he slipped, got wet and scurried back to dry land.
Anyway, my mother thought that it was time to give my cat a bath last night.
She thought that it would be a good time since the cat might have fleas and
his back legs are already dirty from using the litter box (My cat is pure
white)I thought that this would not be good because I thought that he would
scratch, then bite us, and then run away.
Nonetheless, we got a small bucket and put lukewarm water in it. Then she
put a little bit of shampoo into the water. Then we dipped the cat in. Of
course he didn't like it. He wanted to jump out of the bucket. Even though
we were pouring soapy water all over his body, he never scratched or bite my
mother or myself.
The next thing that I did was to wrap my cat up in a towel, and then find
the blow dryer. Of course by wrapping my cat up, he looked funny all wet and
I giggled at the site (Remember the "Bad Hair Day" poster with the spiky
haired kitten?). Nonetheless, we did blow dried the cat (And he hated it).
Then I brushed him while he was grooming himself dry.
Usually when someone baths a cat, it is like a battlefield, don't you all
agree?
Anyway, I just thought that I might share this experience.

You are lucky! My cat freaks out! I've only done it a few times in the 3
years that I've had her because she is very good at grooming herself and she
rarely even has the slightest bit of a smell to her. But mine usually gives
up after a few minutes and crawls up onto me so that I'm holding her with
her head on my shoulder and then she just lays there while I finish rinsing
her. Of course, I get scratched all to pieces while she's scurrying up me.

ruff loved her bath when she was a kitten. did her in the kitchen sink -
having moved EVERYTHING out of range figuring she'd freak out. nope - draped
over my hand, completely relaxed. had forgotten to grab a cup to rinsed her
with, so thought, 'what the heck' and just held her under the tap! it was
like doing dishes! no problem at all - very odd!
