My cat breaths fine, has no fever, is very healthy and active, but, once in
a while sneezes and usually quite a bit of stuff comes out. It seems that he
does it to clear his nose. Before he was given to me he already had this
problem and I think he has had it for a few months at least. Is this some
sort of infection or they can be like people and just need to clear their
noses once in a while?
Thank you

Maybe he is allergic to himself? Just kidding!!
The answer to your question is it depends on how long he
has been doing this. Some cats sneeze occasionally, yes.
They don't, on the whole, do it all the time without a
reason though. But if you aren't sure, a quick
phone call to the vet would help you determine
whether you need to take him in or not...
they can ask you all the details of the history
to find out whether it merits checking out.

My tom makes a noise through his nose when breathing but he seems OK.
