It's not always in the morning, but usually it is - not everyday, but
often enough to make me wonder....
Does she want something?
If so, what?
For example, this morning, she was mewing (crying, it seems to me).
So, I scooped her litter box (which did need it), but afterwards she
kept crying.
So, I filled up her food dish and refreshed her water dish.
That didn't help either.
I gace her some attention to, and eventually she stopped mewing, but it
didn't seem to be the problem either.
Usually when she wants attention she demands it by jumping in my lap or
as close as she can come to it if I'm not sitting down.
What else might she want? I've covered food, water, a nice place to
poop and affection - yeah, there is one thing I left out, but that's out
of the question and even though she's spayed, she still might want it.
Is there anything else that she might be asking for?

My Pumpkin (12 pounds of orange tabby part Maine coon and he adopted
me) is a talker.
Meets me when I arrive home: mew, mew, roll over on the drive and get
petted), walks in the house thru the dog door and mew, mew, butts his
head against my hand, pet me).
Blasted cat TALKS. Doesn't want anything except attention most of the
time and he INSISTS on it. He can be diverted by food but not for
long.
Usual routine is - pet him, stroke him, let him get some food, and then
I have to settle someplace where he can nap - in sight.
I learned this from the diabetic chat rooms. YMMV. Your Mileage May
Vary. i.e., you can eat corn, I can't. I can handle butter, you
can't. I imaging cats vary too.........Yours may just want to talk.

Shoot. I talk to my cat right back. It's quite comical. I had a
friend who was new to the house ROLLING literally on the floor
laughing so hard.
Cause Dynomite (my black cat) comes up to me just mewing loudly. If I
actually pull the "yeah? (mew) really? (mew), wow!!! (mew mew)"
she'll go mind her own business. Sometimes I'll initiate it. "hey
cat!" (mew!) "yes I did!" (mew) etc.
Quite a fun thing when you're single...I'm sure it's fun if you're not,
as well! haha

Actually it is quite valuable when one is married, to have a nice
conversation with ones cat about all the peccadilloes of your
spouse, and have the cat agree with one wholeheartedly!
Luthien and I have deep conversations quite frequently.
The irony is that *both* of us are under the
impression that each other understands what is
being said, even though neither of us does!!
