As tomorrow is the 5th anniversary fo the WTC tragedy I was reminded
of a story that I saw on the news that they actually used cats in the
search for remains in the aftermath.  But for the life of me I can't
find anything on that story on the interent.  Did anyone else hear of
that story, and if so where can I find a reference tot that.  I want
to send it to some friends.

Thanks

Now I am not sure but the term CATS were used by the NYPD, I always thought
they were like an advanced SWAT team.

I wonder if the C in CATS stands for Canine.... maybe some
specially trained Canine unit?

The more I think of it, and with all due respect to the OP as the query is a
decent one ,it is quite surreal to imagine taking cats to the twin towers in
the aftermath of what happend is it not.  I played a D12 CD the other day
and the sound of a gunshot on CD forced my Tom to bolt out of the room to
seek refuge in the kitchen behind the washing machine.
