How many hours a day is normal for a cat to sleep? Mine seems to sleep
more than she is awake.

Wrong - it's closer to 48 hours per day - just my observation, but I
could be wrong.

That seems to depend on several things, among them, the age and health
of the cat, but especially on how stimulating the environment is. One
of mine sleeps up to 22 hours aa day - he's old and in only fair
health. Some of the others seem to be awake at least 4-6 hours,
morning and evening, pretty much when I'm home and awake.

I've read that cats sleep 80% of the time. Which might be a good thing
because if I'm only getting 20% of their attention, nothing would ever
get done around here!

Cats can sleep as much as 20 hours a day...
I'm sure 16 - 20 is normal
