My cat is four years old and 14 pounds. Indoor cat. I have been feeding
him regular Nutro. For sure I don't over feed him but the weight is
hard to control. I can't give him much at a time because he loves to
eat to fast. He's always trying to hit me up for food. Puts the same
toy in his bowl every time the bowl gets low or empty because he thinks
I'm to dumb to know lol. He has a stomach that I would like to shrink.
It's time for me to buy food so I will check back often.
Does he drink a lot of water? Is he urinating a lot?
Excess hunger is one of the signs of diabetes and a few other
endocronological orders.. If this is something new, I would highly
recommend a trip to the vet for a quick once over.
They are doing studies, that show that dry food is pretty much the
equivalent of mcdonalds food for kitties. It has too many carbs, and cats
can't processes those very well. You might want to consider switching over
to a high protein low carb wet food.
But if you feel you need to stay with dry, look into nutro's line. They
have a 'light' formula.

No he has never had that problem. That is interesting about the wet
food. I can understand how dry food could be high carb but didn't think
about it before.
