Around 3 am I woke up and, realizing I was sleeping on the couch I went to
get up and go to bed. But, when I rolled over, I saw my cat sitting about a
foot from a corner of the dining room and she was facing the corner and just
staring. I thought that was a little weird. So, I watched her for a few
minutes and every so often she'd move and when she did she'd jump a second
after. I finally realized that she was staring at her shadow and the
shadow of a tall lamp I have in the corner. The light from the kitchen was
casting shadows. When she moved it scared her and she was trying to touch
her shadow and the shadow from the lamp. I've never seen her do such a
thing! I think I watched her for about half an hour! When she saw me
watching her she'd just stare at me until I pretended to be back asleep and
then she'd go back to the shadow game she was playing. How weird is
that?!?!? Has anyone else noticed their cats doing this?
