Why does it seem that July is the worst time for finding homes for kittens?  I had this same problem last year...

Because it is kitten season, and shelters everywhere are inundated with
them.  Please get your cat spayed and/or neutered, and you won't have to
deal with this problem any more!

This is the time of year when the kittens of feral cats are at the age to be adopted, so the kitten market is flooded right now.  Also this is a time of year when families typically go away on vacation, they prefer to adopt kittens in the fall or winter when they are home.

This is the time of year  that was the saddest part when I was with the
shelters  thank god we were no kill  we took every kitten we could and had
to take money out of our personal pockets for people to adopt kittens  it
was worth it.

But right now at any kill shelter the kittens are lucky to last 3 days
before being put to sleep  F@cking humans suck

Because all the peole that are not smart enough to spay or neuter
their  cats have to find homes for the unwanted kittens this time of
year!!

The correct answer here should probably be, why is it such a trechory to
have a cat for a pet?

If feline overpopulation is such a problem then why aren't birth control
pills made for people like myself that loves his cat as an animal and not a
pair of K-Mart house shoes, you know the ones that look like the stroybook
characters and are all fuzzy and furry?

It would seem to me that, like everything else, this argumemt is just
another one of our modern day diversions from whats really going on....

Thanks for your reply!

Doug

IF there was  such a pill you would have the a.shole that would think that
it was wrong to give it to them  no matter what  it is a f@cked up situation
where Humans  need to grow the F@CK up and get over their bullshit

BTW- if there were such a preventative, I would be at the door of Wal-Mart
the day it opened with a product for such,  -I cant bring myself to pull the
guts out of my queen that has the most beutiful kittens around, (and beleive
me I have seen what's available on the net!), and there's not a vet in the
whole of New England that will perform a tubular ligation type spaying, so
here I am with a feline that won't listen to me and just wants to have
kittens.  I feel that her having kittens is superlative being that when I
found her she was injured.

Desexing

It's amazing how many people profess to love their pets, yet
do not bother to have them desexed. There are many benefits
to desexing as you will see in the links below.
Following is a reproduction chart. Allowing two cats and their
offspring to breed for 10 years will produce 80,399,780 cats!
(Statistics from American Humane Association which assumes
two litters per year and 2.8 surviving kittens per litter)

1st year: 12
2nd year: 66
3rd year: 382
4th year: 2,201
5th: year: 12,680
6th year: 73,041
7th year: 420,715
8th year: 2,423,316
9th year: 13,968,290
10th year: 80,399,780

Each year tens of thousands of abandoned cats and dogs
are euthanized because homes cannot be found for them.
Please do your part, desex your pets.

Just because you cat has "beautiful" kittens, is not a good reason to let
her keep churning them out when millions are killed each year in shelters -
not to mention dumped to fend for themselves and die a horrible death, fed
to pitbulls and pet snakes.... need I go on?

I will classify and file you away as an ignorant moron, a group which also
incudes rednecks, bigots, KKK, Islamic terrorists (or any other kind of
terrorist, for that matter.  Hope you enjoy your company there.

>Aaahhh....spelled wrong again...I believe you mean " treachery"

Well, teachery isn't a word, but I'll betcha this OP is a teacher!
Disseminating wrong info left, right, and out the door!
gntry - 26 Jul 2006 17:47 GMT
Aaahh..I beg to differ...look "treachery" up in a dictionary...(n)1.
betrayal of trust  2. violation of allegiance.

Yet you use a big word like disseminating...how have you never heard of
"treachery?"

As the "superior"( meaning  that you are intelligent and can make sound
decisions, unlike an animal that thinks hormonally), you have a
responsibility as an owner to have your animal fixed. Here in the US the
over population of cats is out of control. Please don't add to the problem,
help solve it.
clicketysplit - 26 Jul 2006 14:57 GMT
LMAO!  definately an oversight this time!  TREACHERY*
