We have 7 indoor cats and 1 outdoor cat, and an inside/outside dog. We don't
have kids and these  pets are our kids to us.Well, a tabby yellow male
unneurterd came around for about a month and I feed him. He looked clean and
healthy, except very skinny. (Course my hubby was NONONONONO, not another
one) But I did at least leave food out every a.m. where our other outside
cat (girl, spayed, Killer by name)wouldn't see him being feed. I cannot
stand for a pet to be scared, hungry or thristy. Well, the yellow tabby
would not run from me, but also not let me  near him. He would eat, well PIG
it down and then lay behind our bushes. He didn't fight with Killer our
outside cat that was here first, so I figured I'd feed him and then get him
to vet to be neutered and find a home.Well, after July 4, we haven't seen
him, probably the damn fireworks made hiim run for miles.

Now the hard part (which I've already done) I passed a cat that looked
justlike him in the middle of a subdivision road about 4 blocks give or take
from us. I passed & it looked like him.then I did ny errand and came BACK by
that way before my next errand to be sure, but his poor face & body were so
flat and ewww , I truly cann't tell if it is him. I did go back after dark
and took a picture frame box , some vinyl gloves & a\I'm sad to say, spatula
type ting to scoot him off the ground. Hubby went to bed & told me not to
go. But if this was a cat I knew a LITTLE, I couldn't let him lay there &
get more squashed. After I had him in the box covered with a dishtowl, a
couple guys did stop to see if I needed help. Thanked them, but said Iwas
done, and what it was, and they offered there condolenances. and left. Two
good boys. Anyway, I'm back home and Kitty is in our downstairs freezer
(nothing else in there)till morning. He's in his box w/towel and couple
toys. We will bury him in our back yard tomorrow. first time I'll do that
since 10-13 years old (I'm 44 now)when  my family always buried our dogs in
the back yard. Our house cats and dog all have plots being held at the
nearby Pet Cemetary, but they aren't cheap and I hope this sweety will be in
comfort in the back yard of the house he liked to roam around.

Sorry so long, everyone's in bed, and I needed to talk. Bless everyone's
furballs and have a good week!

<snip> Yet another reason to keep your kits indoors. Always.
