Ok, the members of this esteemed group convinced me
that Iams & Science Diet are not the greatest cat foods in
the world.  After doing my own research, I now feed our
cats Royal Canin.

Next, what is a good litter box for a house with three cats?
I am currently using nothing more than a large storage box
I got at K-mart, filled with clumping litter.  As you may guess,
to keep the box tidy for the cats, it requires me to scoop
at least three times a day, usually more often.  Don't want the
fur babies walking in their own doo-doo now.

So what about these automated boxes?  They are pricey.
How well do they remove the semi-hard large clumps of
pee and doo-doo?

Thanks

Check out the Omega Paw Roll Away at

<http://www.omegapaw.com/RollAwayLrg.html>

I've had one for a number of months now and could not be happier. To empty
the box you just roll it over and back and all the clumps (clumping litter
required) are now in a scoop that can be slid out and emptied. The box itself
is made of a slick plastic to which the clumps don't cling. I use flushable
litter and it takes me all of a minute to clean the box and dumpt the clumps
in the toilet and flush. The cost of the box is about a quarter of that for
those motor driven things and, at least in my opinion, is far superior in
doing the job.

We just moved and I needed a good cat box that worked!  I checked them
out and found that as previously stated
http://www.omegapaw.com/RollAwayLrg.html WORKED.

One thing with this one is there are no mechanical parts to get icky
clumps stuck in and to clean out - YUCK!

The whole idea is you put litter in, kitty visits, kitty leaves, and
later you roll it over and then roll it back.  The litter is filtered
out and the waste is dumped in a little bin for your removal.

I read the litterbox reviews on Amazon.com.  I searched for litterbox
and found the reviews.  This one was the best rated.  Now that I have
one, I certainly know why.

I would get four boxes, none of which should be a litter maid.
Made that mistake a while back.

I had a litter maid.  It was a peice of junk.

So is your spell-checker.

Thanks for info on the Omega Paw boxes.

Called & visited  Petsmart & Petco today, neither store
had the Omega Paw in stock anymore.   Omega Paw's
web site says Target stores carry them, but apparently not
in my area.

Ordered a box off the Petsmart web site.  Their on-line
price is competitive with other on-line sources.

Thanks again.
