I just wanted to write to tell about my crazy cat. She is 2 years old now
and I got her as a kitten. She used to be CRAZY!! She was my first pet
I've ever had that was just mine and not my family's. She used to scratch
and bite and it HURT and I'd bleed! She's not just more playful. The last
couple times I've gotten a bite was from her playing. She's gotten into the
habit of following/chasing me and she'll run up and stand on her back two
paws and tap me with her front paws and then give me a little bite with her
teeth. It doesn't hurt, but the first time she did it I think I laughed out
loud. After she does it she runs off and hides and when I go look for her
she runs out and does it again. I think it's the cat's version of tag :) I
did work with her to curb her hurtful playing behavior, but I'm wondering if
she'll get even more playful and calm as she gets a little older. Two isn't
that old, so it sort of surprised me that she is settling in and being more
sweet and nicely playful than playing in her old usual biting and scratching
way. About what age did most of you see your cats getting more cuddly and
sweet?

My boy cat was an adult when he showed up and has never been anything
but sweet and kind. My girl cat, OTOH, showed up at 6 weeks, and has
*never* calmed down. She's 11 now and will still give you a swat or a
nip if, in her queenly cat wisdom, thinks you are deserving.

My cat's only just started calming down. He's 12.
