I have a 11 year old female cat that has just started leaking from her
bottom. It smells like pee a little but it looks like a clear thin
mucous. If anyone knows what this is and what I can do about it I'd
really appreciate it. She gets it on the furniture and the rugs and I
dont want the house to start smelling like cat pee.
Thank you so Much.

Bring her to the vet. It could be a urinary infection perhaps.

Yes, to the vet absolutely. Is this watery diarrhoea? Take a sample before
you go to the vet.

I have no idea of what this is, but I do know that the best thing you can do
is make an appointment for her with a vet.
If you started leaking from your bottom, what would you do? Look for answers
in a newsgroup or make an appointment with your doctor?
Hello???????????????????

Unfortunately many pet owners only see them as animals, second rate
existence. I see my pets as a family member who I care about equally. All
pet owners should view their pets this way. If you come to a NG with a
potentially serious problem, the pet owner is the one that has a problem.

I hear you!

Me too! Actually there have been occassions where my pet family members have
recived preference over me. My pets have always been like children to me.
Their needs usually come before mine.

But sadly they don't.

Agreed.
