Poor Henry.., he's my inside house cat.., big white fear'dy..!!
He rarely goes outside like the other cats.., but once in awhile I will
find him sun'n himself out on the patio. Well, anyway I thought he might
have a couple fleas the other day, so I put some of that flea killing stuff
on him.., but yesterday I noticed two areas on the back of both his hind
legs that was missing hair.., and a little bit around his anis.., it's in an
area where he couldn't have chewed or bit'n himself.., plus (and this is
strange) he has taken to hiding under the bed like a kitten..?
I will say that a year or so ago.., I mistakenly bought some flea killing
stuff, but forgot to read the lapel.., it was for middle-sized dogs.., and I
put a little on him..!! Geeez, the poor guy.., he had what appeared to be
drug withdraws for a day or so.., shakes and all.., but I can't figure out
why he has run under the bed and he doesn't want me to tough him..!! But,
please don't just say take him to the vet. He's a shy cat, but just to
damn fast and strong for me to catch and take to the vet. I cought him one
time, and tried to stick him in one of those cardboard type carriers.., God,
he tore his way out of that in a heartbeat..!! So, what'a think..??!!

Well.., it's a day or so later.., and Henry has come out from under the
bed. I make a little shrimp in the microwave for the cats.., and when they
hear that "ding"..., they all suddenly "appear".., and there he was.., but
still with a little "twitch"..!!
This morning he again came to me with his breakfast "feed me now" meow..,
so maybe things are looking up.., and for the record.., Pepper, my big male
alpha cat is recovering from a rock hit to his head.
I think the bastard across the street bonk he, and tried to kill him..,
but we're down to only eight lives now..!!

Glad to hear Henry is on the mend! But keep the kits inside, please,
if for no other reason than to frustrate the rock-throwing neighbor
who will then have no targets....

You don't say what kind of "flea killing stuff" you used. If it's anything
by Hartz, I fear for your cat - Hartz flea meds has been known to kill cats!

well, since none of us here are a vet, and if we were we would never imagine
treating or suggesting a treatment to a cat with out being able to put
hands and eyes on the cat, you have pretty much eliminated any help for your
cat. I am glad he is feeling better, but it does seem pretty obvious that
there was some sensitivity to the product you put on him. Next time find a
vet to sell you either frontline or advantage (advantage doesn't treat
ticks, so there is less medication in one treatment)
The cat really does need to see a vet from time to time for optimal health
You can head off a lot of problems with a good annual exam. As I like to
say, YOU are the human, and what you want is what happens. Sometimes you
just have to bite the bullet.

Thanks Connie.., but remember..,
"He's a shy cat, but just to damn fast and strong for me to catch and
take to the vet. I caught him one time, and tried to stick him in one of
those cardboard type carriers.., God, he tore his way out of that in a

Really folks.., one trip to a vet can bankrupt a person these days..!!
My ex-wife actually used two house payments to pay for an operation on "one"
of her 11 cats..!! I watched as the tech (wearing hospital scrubs now)
carefully took down all of the "vital" information on the "patient", and
made "arrangements" to pay the cost.., maybe $500 bucks for the "first"
couple visits..!!
Another cat we had named Ivan the Terrible had been hit by a car and his
back broken.., I picked him up and took him to the vet. Vet said a $1000
dollars for the "first" operation..!! I kissed Ivan on the head, told him
he had been a good cat, and that I'd see him in the resurrection when I came
into my inheritance.., paid $60 bucks and gave the vet the nod......, oh,
the ex..?? She never forgave me...!!
However.., I don't think I'll be seeing her in the resurrection..!!
