I have a 2 year old cat and about 6 months ago he started to urinate on my
bed every once and a while. He also used his litter box though. I took him to
the vet and he is perfectly fine. At first, I thought he was doing it because
I was cat-sitting a friend's cats,but even after they left and even after I
have moved to two different places with different beds and different sheets,
he still does it- but only if I do not spend the night at home. It is really
upsetting me because I don't know how to stop him.

I've used the special cat urine removers and all that stuff, but he just
finds a new spot on the bed when I'm not there and one night he even peed on
my leg!!!!

I NEED HELP!!!!!

Thanks in advance...

Hi Tahra,

I completely understand your frustration. I have had cats all my life
and they have all had there little faults. Jealousy is a big part in the
matter. See up until the other cat came into the house, your cat was the
boss, and then it had to learn to share. Depending on what breed they are,
they are not quick to forgive and also not quick to forget. If the problem
is getting beyond control there are a number of avenues you can pursue. I
have been a vet for the past ten years and I have seen allot of deifferent
behaviour from cats. But there is allot you can do and the cat will never
even know. Ifs not cruel in any way. If you would like some more information
as to what they are please feel free to send me your email address and I
will be more then happy to send you some articles that I have written in the
past. My email address is jpap1980@optusnet.com.au

If anyone else would like any info or advice please feel to e-mail me as
well.

Regards

Joshua

My M DSH did this to me soon after I had bought and moved into a new
home. I'm still not sure this was the motivation, but one night I was
sleeping with Xedo ocupying his usual space on my lap, and he peed on
me.

The next night, he did the same thing. I asked a friend who told me
that for some reason, he was marking me, and that when I went to bed
that night to go alone and close the door. I did.

He never did it again. I still have him, and he's never repeated that
behavior.

Good luck!
