I'd never seen or even heard of such a thing, but Snowball just cam in
with her left eye closed. Upon examination, I discovered a small tick
attached to the moist, hairless pat of the lower lid right up against
the eyeball. I got it out with a pair of hemostats and I don't think
I damaged her eye - she has both open and she's eating as if nothing
had happened. It was quite the struggle to do that by myself.

You took it off all by yourself?? wow. I am impressed. There is a lot I
can do to my own cats, but I would be scared to even try that... which of
course means I shouldn't.. :) I always tell people that their cats pick up
their emotions very easily..
