clumping litter dust

Hello,

I am using a clumping litter called Special Kitty which claim that it
is 99% dust free. However, when I clean the litter there is always a cloud
of dust in the air. I am concerned for the health of my cats. The dust is
certainly not good for their health. Does somebody know a clumping litter
that is dust free?

If you are looking for dust free stay away from World's Best. They last couple times I
used it it has been awlfull!!

I have been using it because it is clumping, flushable and all natural (From corn) and my
6 furbabies love it.

Lately though there has been so much dust that as you said when I scoop it I can see the
dust plus the cats legs are all dust and you may as well vacuum every time they use the
box because they is a dust trail where ever they go.

Hard to find a litter that is 100% dust free, even the corn and wheat based
ones can be dusty. There are paper litters (used to be called Ecofresh but
the new name is Healthy Pet Dust Free Fibre Litter) that you might want to
try. By the way, it's never been proven that silica litter dust is bad for
cats; there's a lot of cats who've used regular clay litter for all thier
lives and didn't suffer any repercussions from it, but you have to do what
you feel comfortable with. I buy paper litter myself because I hate dust all
over everything in the room but it's more expensive, as are all specialty
litters.
