Hi all, just wanted to introduce myself here, I hope to post and/or read
this group on a regular basis.  I live in Connecticut, with my room mate,
her 2 kids, my four furbabies, and her 5 pet rets, also known as
"entertainment under glass" for my kitties.

As you can imagine.. things are pretty lively around here.  I have 3
black/black & white cats and one orange tiger, all rescue kitties.  Their
ages range from 21 years old (My gramma kitty) to the baby who is 2.  I have
found they all have different personalities, and that even the bratty 2 year
old enhances my life so much - yes, four cats is too many - I always said
I'd never have more then two, but I wouldn't give up any of my fur babies
for anything in the world.

Anyway - Hi to all, hope to chat with you soon

Hey!  Glad to meet you foxfire (and everyone else here too!).  I don't
get around here to post often... but what a great group here!  There's
an occasional crabby type, but oh well... such is the way of things I
guess.  Mosly awesome folk who genuinely love their furry friends, and
someone always here to help with just about any topic relating to
them... We have 12 happy kitties... each has been a refugee from some
form of human disregard... or rather, they have us!  LOL  My mom taught
me empathy for all other living beings from Day One... to understand
them.  What a gift we have,  to be able share life with these amazing
and complex beings.  Hope you post often!   I read more often than I
can post...  And I loved your Mellow Jazz Night story!!  I "yowled"
with laughter!

Welcome foxfire! I read alot here and have been posting a lot lately. We
have a dog and 7 inside cats, and one outside cat that a really sweet, but
WILL NOT come in. So we have her a bin with a heating pad in the winter
which she is always in and we watch out for her. My dog and a few cats have
had some problems lately and although the first thing to do is go to the
vet, on weekends and overnight, we can get suggesions and assuarances (even
warnings like, "get them to the vet NOW") that all help and I think we
ususally come back and tell the end of the story,

I also try to get on here a few times a week to see if I can hlep anyone, as
I've been through a lot with my cats over the years, diabetes, renal
failure, chronic upper resp.infections. Glad to have you aboard and if ya
see a question with my name on it "majcm" please try to give me some help!!!
I'll do the same!
