I think that one of our three five week old kittens slipped out the back
door.
Any suggestions on how to find it?

It could well be locked in somewhere, if not, follow momma outside, she
might find her baby.

I would certainly make a through search of the house, right away.  This
would include things that kids play with that could conceivably hold a
kitten.  A past neighbor had a kitten go missing.  Turned up some months
later in their kids lunch box, along with a pair of expensive headsets....
yuk.  As it turned out these whee the kids most favorite things and he lost
them all at one stroke :(
