I'm sure this has been covered a million times, but just today I
noticed an odor in my cats, um, bum region. Now, I don't usually go
around smelling my cats bums, but it was quite noticable and I
discovered a rather fishy smell (best I can describe). My other cat is
fine. I did give them some treats today, which is not an everday
occuance.
His bum is clean and he is fixed. Could it be his scent glands?
It's not really a problem, just an annoyance. I washed that area, but
the smell came back.
What we won't do for our pets... ugh.
Thanks!

It sounds like his anal glands need to be expressed. Your vet can tell you
for sure and take care of it.
