Hi
I have an 18 yr old male Maine Coon. He is blonde with gold eyes,
absolutely gorgeous.
He is showing very few signs of his advanced age, still plays everyday
and has a terrific appetite and attitude.

Coons are great cats.  I scooped Arnold up from the neighborhood and had him
neutered when he was about 12.  He lived with me--happy to be inside--for
six years--getting insulin twice daily for five of those because of
diabetes.  One of the best cats I ever had.

Ouch!! Neutered at 12 means that he know what he's missing.
My cat also lost his as an adult, and even after all these years he
still perks up his ears at the sounds of cats in heat.

Then again, before the snipping he was tomcatting around so much that
he became dangerously thin and cared nothing for grooming.  Life was
all about the female felines.
