I noticed one of my cats attempting to "bury" her food today, and
wondered why they sometimes do this. I've seen my cats attempt to do
this with both wet and dry food. When I first noticed it, it made me
think something was wrong with the food, but the food turned out to be
fine. So, I'm guessing there's a deeper explanation of this behavior.
Any thoughts?

Instinct - trying to bury uneaten food to stop others from eating it or
giving away presence to predators. Same reason they bury their sh.t.

Who's Eddie? I assume you think because I use the word 'sh.t' you think I am
someone called Eddie? Reality check - lots of people use the word 'sh.t' -
it is a fairly common vulgarity.
