I have adopted a new cat, large male. He is an addition to a household of
two female cats and one
dog. I need some advice on the best way to introduce him to the girls.
Currently I have him isolated in a room, with the door closed. When he
gets a whiff or catches site of the others he starts growling and slinks
away into the closet.

Get a brush; brush them all with it so all smell the same. Or rub them
all with the same towel. It may take awhile, but bless you for giving
him a home. He needs to feel a part of the family. Glad your dog is
already cat friendly. Be patient. They will accept one another.
Good luck. Let us know how it goes.

new update.
My new male cat is getting along with the dog better than the two female
cats. One female cat
is pretty much leaving him alone while the other would prefer to chase him
back to his room. They
hiss and growl at one another. I don't let it go beyond that. To keep
the peace I have put up a wire barrier so they can see but cannot touch.
Now I have started to let him out of the room for
awhile each day. When I do this I put the one female in the basement. My
thought is to let him get used to house, the dog and one cat at a time.
