QT(pronounced like cutey) has taken to playing with a hair curler.  It's
one of those nylon-mesh wrapped wire springy things.  He bats it around,
picks it up in his mouth, drops it and bats it around a bit more.  When I
sit at the computer, he brings it to me and puts it down.  I toss it
across the room along the floor and he scrambles after it then bats it
around before returning it to me for another go.  If I'm not paying
attention, he'll mew-squeak until I notice and toss it out for him to
chase again.

<snerk> It does indeed!

All hail to our cats, who demand prompt, first-class service!!

Want to teach QT to fetch on command?

When you toss the curler for him, say "Fetch." When he brings it, give
quick praise, another toss, and another "Fetch."

Voila! You have trained your cat. Or your cat has . .

You are the first other person I've heard whose cat does that! We have 7.  A
couple years ago a pregnant female was abandoned here & we took her it. She
had 4 kittens August 10, 2004. We meant to give them away, but got too
attached after 8 weeks. We still have them all, plus mom & 2 others we had
before.

Anyway the runt of the litter does that with plastic bread ties. She will
bring them back over & over to fetch and we get tired of doing it long
before she does. It is so COOL!

Add me....Fugazi (RB) did it and we thought it was pretty odd but
Sarrasine also does it with her Santa!

Maybe he just wants his hair curled and is thinking, "What a stupid human,
he keeps throwing this curler away when I have a job for him!"

Me, I'm the 'Doorman' our cats go and sit by the front door and if I don't
go an open it in a short enough time they come an get me as I must be
slacking off!  Can't wait for Spring and the opening of the cat door again
(they're lousy tippers!).
