Hi Everyone,
Our cats were neutered today and we just brought them home and one of them
is bleeding small amounts everywhere (from an unknown area) and being VERY
aggressive towards the other cat... even though it's much smaller.

Is this normal? The vet never told us anything about this, and all of the
local vets are closed right now so we really don't know if the bleeding is
normal or not....

Any input would be greatly appreciated,

Thank You,
Pat H.

Get your cat to an emergency vet hospital or similar place ASAP!!!! Cats do
not have blood to spare and bleeding is not normal.  PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE GO
RIGHT NOW!!

Any haemorrhaging from any animal or human after an operation is extremely
dangerous for an animal especially. Whisk him bck to the Vet,..call ahead if
you want,..dont be put off by any stalling on their part (if that occurs)

Please keep us posted.  How is the poor little thing doing?

Everything is alright now. I managed to get a hold of a vet last night and
they told me it was normal for a little discharge of blood after the surgery
and to keep a watch on it. It never got worse, only better thank god.

It eventually stopped, and little "Meeko" is back to his good ol' self
again!

Thanks for all your help. :)

Well thank goodness the poor thing is ok.  Though, I've never heard of any
discharge of blood being normal and that is something a vet should
definitely mention when you pick the cat up.  My Butterscotch was spayed and
never had any bleeding.  But, I'm glad your little one is ok.
