My cat is peeing on my roommates bed, and in our clothes if we leave them in
a pile!
there WERE two cats in the house, but they moved out 3 days ago, and she's
still doing it!
How would i know if its a urinary tract infection or if she's doing it to
convey a message!?
please help, im going away in 2 days to another state, and i work tomorrow a
12 hr shift!!

Changes in environment can lead to reactions, but if the cat was doing it
before the other cats moved, the it is probably medical.  The only way to
know for sure is an infection is to see the vet.  AND FAST.  If it is a
urinary tract infection, not only is the cat peeing everywhere and annoying
you, but she is in very extreme pain and she's trying to say "HEY! YOU! I'm
in pain!!"  You need to rule that out ASAP.  If this is a sudden change in
behavior, it is definitely the cat trying to tell  you something.  Cats do
not go to the bathroom where they can't clean it up.  It is not in their
nature.

Hi!
I think you should put some ammonia in the conteiner with sand where your
cat usually pee. Maybe if it smells the ammonia it will pee there instead of
on your clothes.
Have luck!

cats noses are more sensitive than ours, ammonia in the litterbox will only
turn them off it more

Take her to the vet.

Take some time off work tomorrow and take her to the vet.

When cats eliminate inappropriately, the first thing one needs to do is rule
out a medical problem. So off to the vet with you!

If you want to know if its a urinary tract infection, take the cat to a vet.
A newsgroup can't answer it for you.

Also you might want to consider putting your clothes in a laundry basket
with a cover if you want to protect the clothes.

One of my cats will pee on any towels I leave on the bathroom floor IF
the litter box isn't clean and sweet smelling.  You might check yours.
Also, moving is stressful for cats and the product Feliway (cat
phermone) might calm it down.  Feliway comes in a spray bottle and you
can get the same product in a plug in diffuser called Comfort Zone.
It's available at pet stores like Petco and Petsmart.  In the meantime,
why don't you restrict your cat to your room.  If it's going to pee on
anyone's bed it should be yours - LOL.

Maybe you should pick up your clothes.  Your cat is trying to tell you
to not be a slob.
