Pretty unbelievable!!
ALBERT C. GOOD JR. - 06 Jan 2006 20:02 GMT
This I can believe. Had it happen to me except for the distance.
Left work on day in the late fall when the weather was cold. My car seemed
to be making a strange sound that it hadn't been making previously.
On investigation I found a small cat sitting on the gas tank and it did not
want to give up its pirch. He stayed there until a garageman and I
convinced him to get close enough to be forcibly grabbed. After that, on the
advice of the police, he was taken back to where the car had been parked and
deposited on the ground, on the premise that he had come from that
neighborhood, or possibly had hitched a ride from some more distance local.

Hehe yeah, cats are funny that way sometimes.
I had a cat that crawled under my car hood one cold winter and when I
cranked up, there was a couple of thumps and I knew immediately what had
happened.
I opened the hood and it jumped into my arms with one rear leg dangling. I
rushed it to the vet and had to have it removed at the hip.
Surprisingly, it learned to get around well with on leg in the middle on the
back. If a dog chased it, it would take off running but when it tried a
quick turn, it would just tumble. lol

he was only about 24 hours or so old when i found him, apparently abandoned
by his mother (she hadn't been near where they were for oever 6 hours!),
with a sister that was ill (she didn't survive)
Weeble will be three years old this coming August, and has grown into a
handsome, shiney black dignified, somewhat shy, whiney Mamma's Boy!

One of the problems I have with this news report is the cat ends up at
a destination
where it will be put up for adoption instead of being returned to it's
original
location where maybe......just maybe......it will be reunited with it's
former owner.
The lesson from this:
CHIP YOUR CAT. If this cat was chipped they could find the owner.

One problem I have is this cat will be put up for adoption in the
destination area
instead of returning it to the original area so that the original owner
can reclaim the
cat.
The bottom line: chip your cat so if this happens to you the cat can be
returned to
you.

One if the problems in this case is the cat is being put up for
adoption at the
destination....instead of being returned to where the journey started.
