I have a cat who will pee on dirty clothes if I leave them on the floor. (Too bad my mother didn't live long enough to see that I finally learned not to leave my stuff on the floor.) Anyway, I washed the stuff with hot water and bleach, some things faded a bit, but at least I know it's clean that way. A better idea is too use the detergents that are made for washing baby diapers, but I didn't have any around at the time and I did have bleach. >I have a cat that pisses on clothes - how to get rid of the smell? It's lots of things - from towels to blouses and trousers. Don't believe that neutering stops this - it only slows it down. Spaying (not squating & hitting a vertical surface) would be a territory marking thing. If he's urinating on stuff on the floor get him to a vet ASAP for checkup for urinary tract problems. As far as the laundry problems, vinegar in the rinse water is another thing to try.
