OK - if you feel like complaining - please feel free to do so, I can
understand.
Now that the darkness of winter has set in, I thought about the past year.
There were a lot of nice things, even a trip to the Sahara desert. But the
best of all was that we had three kittens of our own.
We have an unneutered female at the moment, a beautiful Angora ... if it
meant so much to me - should I let her have kittens again? Well, it's
irresponsible - no!
Just when I came to this conclusion, on the very same day, somebody asked to
have two kittens of my female ... OK. Please understand that here we don't
have a kitten overpopulation problem. I will wait to have Tiffy spayed then
until after she has had her first litter ... I'm looking forward to getting
through next spring with the kittens!

Thanks, but with Tiffy having her first (and only) litter I expect two or
three kittens ...
Don't tell me there will be eight ;-)
The people who want the kittens know a lot of cat-slaves. They promised to
help me find good homes too.
Otherwise I would not have taken the chance.

Well, as I'm a first time pet owner and little Butterscotch was spayed long
ago, I don't know anything about the number of cats in a first litter:)
But, you probably know more than I do. So, I'll cross my fingers that it
will be just a few:)

I know the fun and joy of kittens in the household, and Id hate to deny
anyone that, but if you seriously think there isnt a cat over population in
your area, you either live in one of three very remote locations, or you are
kidding yourself.
also, you call tiffany a kitten, How old is she? Young mothers are usually
not very responsible, and are often confused by the whole process. You put
her at risk just by being pregnant, then the long term risks of being intact
for so long (cancer and pyometra) Kittens are extremely draining on a
queen.. You can't control how many she will have. Nor can you control that
they are all healthy. As a foster parent for a local shelter, Ive had
several litters born in my house.. one aborted early, one all died in utero,
several have died during birth, and while Ive not had it, Ive heard of birth
defects.
For Tiffany's sake, as well as the sake of all the cats and kittens at your
local shelter, please reconsider.
