Simply the best! Have you noticed that they are always the first kittens to
go! I have one (of 5 cats) and he's so intelligent!
Do you think cats know instinctively 'cat people'? I always have cats coming
up to me.

I agree, and I have one, too.  http://tinypic.com/imuntc.jpg  He is also one
of five cats and I love them all, but he is the brightest and the best.  Of
all the breeds of cats, I seem to have an affinity for tabbies and they are
drawn to me.

Then Isis was gorgeous!  Did she and her sister look alike?

Yes apart from Fugazi had a white nose and was a bit bigger and yes
Isis was gorgeous and knew it! She was the most throughly cute cat I
ever met, we used to reckon she was "professionally cute". People were
greeted as if they were long lost friends and one friend even asked if
we treated her properly because she was acting like "Take me away from
here, please adopt me".

As for her cute looks....Or that pathetic long drawn out mew that
wobbled in the middle at feeding times as if to say "I am so weak from
hunger I haven't even got the strenght to mioaw properly"

And she had probably the best life imaginable. Never a days illness in
her life she started to show some signs of getting old at 16 and after
about 3 weeks of this (She was still eating, drinking, wanting
affection etc etc) she simply curled up for her Tuesday afternoon nap
and woke up over the bridge

I miss her (don't tell the Furballs)

They are all so precious and all so different.

Of our 5 cats, 3 are tuxedos and they are clowns, 1 looks like a bobcat and
is very aloof.  Then there's Mr. Bailey who has a very wise and learned
demeanor, I kid you not.  Looking into his eyes is like looking into the
wisdom of the ages. <g>

He has an interesting habit that began the first night that I had him.  When
we go to bed at night, he likes to fall asleep with his front paws and head
nestled in the palm of my hand, and purrs loud enough to keep me awake.

Mr. Bailey does not mioaw at all.  When he finds a toy or asks you for
something, he lets you know with a low persistent growl (not mean).

I'm sure you do.  Mr. Bailey  is 8 years old and I hope he has many more
years ahead of him.  He is in excellent health.  Two previous furbabies each
lived to age 17.

Cats can easily identify "cat people."
They can smell the scent of another cat in/on/around their territory.
(When a cat rubs againt you, they are claiming you as their territory.)
