But do they get the everyday nutrients they need from an oral care or dental food ??

I have a bag of Oral care right here, I feed mainly canned, but give them
SD Oral Care as a "snack" food. It does have the AAFCO statement that
it's complete nutrition for maintenance of adult cats.

Nutro Natural Choice had a large kibble food that they recently made
smaller, but it is still pretty large. I called them and they said
that they have had enough feed back that they are considering making
the large kibble again. The stuff must be highly palatable as my cats
gobble it up. It's the Adult Maintenance "Complete care" in the light
green bag with green label:
