nuetering and feeding beforehand

getting our kittens spayed and nuetered in the morning. should they be
fed in the morning before going or put away the food tonight after
dinner?

thanks. don't have the vets number handy to call

dinner tonight early after that nothing for 8 hours before some vets
do 12 for fasting

If you can afford it have the vet give them the shot that helps them come
out sedation
Also about being microchip since they will be there anyways

By the way congratulations on being a responsible pet owner for having the
four legs neutered

My vet always says no food or water after midnight the night before any
surgery.

standard is no breakfast, but if they are very young cats, a very light
morning breakfast isn't out of line. Kittens digest food quickly at that
age and need the glucose to help recovery from surgery. Your vet should
have given you a recommendation of feeding.

Noooooooo Wayyyyyyyyy!
Don't feed them beforehand. They can get sick and die!
If the vet's wise he'll send you home!
Give them their evening meal, not too late, and that's it!

Done and Done. Cats are at the vet. took away the goodies at 8 last
night.
